Picasso didn’t know how spiritually accurate that statement is. Somewhere along the way when we grow into mature Christians we think that we must move past the mystery and excitement and become clinical Christians. The ramifications of this mindset causes us to look much less like Jesus; loosing our ability to artistic expression life.

Last week we looked at some amazing art that was birthed from a deep relationship with God. This week we will look at art that expresses truth in a different way. Let’s see how God prompted Frank and Sandy to express their talents and point people to God’s unwavering truths.

Why did you choose this type of art expression? It’s our life. The easiest way to express it to others is to write it.
What inspired you to choose this topic? The storyline has changed our lives and we hope it can help others.
What do you hope this expression generates in the heart and mind of others? We hope it helps people find hope, peace, and direction through God.
How does this topic express something about your faith journey? It reveals how much God has kept us going.
Isaiah 64:8 ESV
But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Looking at Isaiah 64 challenges me to evaluate my own efforts to express my relationship with God. If I am the work of God’s hand, how could I better represent his beauty rather than my ugliness?
Exodus 35:35 ESV
He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.
Exodus is a great reminder of where our gifts and talents come from. When we recognize who has given these abilities it is much easier to give credit to God. God has uniquely designed each of us to be a perfect (fill in your name) that uniquely points people to God so they can find their uniqueness or distinction through Christ.
How could recognizing your gifts and talents are a gift from God change the way you express them?
Picasso also mentioned the importance of acting on important truths. He said,
